Industry Compliance and Periodic Filings

Keeping a registered industry in good standing: periodic returns, capacity and product changes, renewals and the record the Department expects to see.

A registered industry is a continuing relationship with the Department, not a one time transaction.

What is included

  • A filing calendar built around your registration date and sector
  • Periodic and annual returns to the Department of Industry
  • Capacity increase, product line and technology change filings
  • Change of location, ownership or shareholding notifications
  • Renewal of sector permits and clearances
  • Regularising industries that have lapsed on reporting
  • Correspondence with the Department on queries and notices
  • Records review before an inspection or an application for facilities

Documents we will ask you for

Scanned copies are enough to begin. We will tell you which of these need notarisation, and which need legalisation if they originate outside Nepal, before you spend money on either.

  • Industry registration certificate
  • Production, sales and employment figures for the reporting period
  • Audited financial statements
  • Details of any change to capacity, product line, location or ownership

What you receive at the end

  • Filed periodic returns with acknowledgement
  • Registration kept in good standing
  • A clean record for future incentive and facility applications

Questions about this service

The registration stays on the register, but the standing suffers, and it becomes an obstacle when you next need something from the Department, whether that is a capacity increase, a facility or a clearance. Missed filings are also the thing most likely to be raised during an inspection.

In most cases yes, by filing the missing periods in sequence. We assess the gap first and give you a realistic view of the work and cost involved.

Describe the business, not the legal category. We will tell you which registrations and filings apply, what they cost and how long they take, before you commit to anything.
